It
is with great pleasure that we announce the much anticipated release
of Strata Vineyards 2001 Napa Valley Merlot. If you enjoyed the 2000
Vintage, you will love the 2001! Once again we have used 100% Merlot
grapes, grown by us on our property in the newly approved Oak Knoll
District Appellation of the Napa Valley.
Tasting Notes:
A fascinating bouquet with extremely interesting complex highlights
of toasted oak, sweet black cherries, vanilla, & chocolate. The
mouth flavors are generous with rich, ripe, chewy soft tannins, &
highly extracted amounts of cherry. Big and fruit forward, this wine
will appeal to even the most die hard Cabernet drinker.
